EASA Part 145 Checklist

This checklist has been prepared on the basis of Easy Access Rules for Continuing Airworthiness (Regulation (EU) No 1321/2014) July 2021. It consist of Implementing Rules as an summary style. 

Annex II (Part-145) Checklist 


145.A.10 Scope

  • Line Maintenance (LM) and Base Maintenance(BM) Descriptions 
    • LM task definitions (defect rectification, T/S, etc..)
    • BM task definitions
  • Temporary or occasional cases (ADsSBs)
    • How to perform ADs,SBs task which are deemed base maintenance tasks in LM   
  • Scheduled Maintenances
    • How to assess progressive tasks being performed in LM 
  • Facility Locations such as inside and outside the Member Statesatellite facilitiessub-contractorsline stations 
    • Identify such facility and procedures to control such facility.
  • Guidance on  the smallest organisations acceptance to satisfy Part 145 Regulations 

145.A.15  Approval

  • How to apply for issue or change of an approval. Application should be made on EASA Form 2  format. see EASA web site for Form2 format.

145.A.20 Terms of approval

  • Organisation should specify the scope of  work in its MOE. Scope of works are detailed on the Appendix IV — referred to in Annex I (Part-M) Subpart F and Annex II (Part-145) 
    • A class rating table (Ax,Bx,Cx,D) is required for each locations 


145.A.25 Facility requirements

145.A.25 (a) Facility

  • Large enough to place aircraft (access platforms and docking) and components.(Segragation of specialised workshops, hangar bays) 
  • Hangar Layout (max. aircraft accomodation at the same time, biggest aircraft ,etc..) as applicable to scope of work
  •  Protection from the weather elements, dust, airborne particules
  •  Sealing Hangar and workshop floors to generate dust 

 145.A.25 (b) Office accommodation

    • planning, technical records, Quality, technical reference area, Storage, etc 


145.A.25 (c) Working environment Qualifications

    • smoke, paint preventation, heating/air condition, lighting,noise protection, safety system (limited access,fire,security)          

145.A.25 (d) Storage Facilities Qualifications

    • Segregation of serviceable and unserviceable aircraft component, materials, equipment, tools.
    • Clean, well ventilated, constant dry temperature.Manufacturer's storage condition should be followed.
    • Enough Large and strong storage rack to place.
    • Security
